Survey questionnaires and opinion polls were administered to seek the views of members of households and users of the courts on access to justice issues. A particular focus was on understanding the experiences of women, children and the poor and disabled, that is, the most vulnerable segments of a society.
Country and cross-country results were gathered and tabulated to reveal overall barriers, minor barriers and core barriers users face when they access justice. The data as depicts regional opinions and perceptions of justice system institutions and those responsible for administering justice. The tableau illustrates important commonalities on the core barriers in accessing justice.
